In March 2011 and Sept 2011 you will receive 3 payments in the calendar month. Please check with your trainer regarding disability or parenting payment options as these payment amounts will differ from the standard NEIS payment.For your information!
NEIS Allowance rate and NEIS Rental Assistance maximum payment per fortnight effective 20 March 2010
The Hon Jenny Macklin MP, Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs has issued a media release concerning increases to pensions and other income support payments due to indexation. As a result, changes to NEIS Allowance and NEIS Rental Assistance will take effect from 20 March 2010.
The new rate of NEIS Allowance is $462.80 per fortnight, up from the previous rate of $456.00 per fortnight or $12,032 p.a.
Check your drawings to make sure you have the correct annual figure.
The new NEIS Rental Assistance maximum payment is $113.40 per fortnight. This cuts out after 6 months.
