What is the problem?

The problem is two-fold. There are people who believe that your computer is available for their purposes. Some of these people, actually believe that what they do is not harmfull to you or your PC. They claim that the malware they place on your PC may be of some benefit to you, but the benefit is all theirs. 

DEFINITION: Malware is the collective category of all software that has been built to satisfy various intentions that the user (That's you!) is not aware and would not approve. The "mal" is short for "malevolent" or "malicious".

Others use your electronic mailbox as if they own it. They have learned tricks that can trash your PC - just for the thrill of it. Others have learned how to take control of your PC for various dark purposes. Now more and more are using trickery to steal away your money, your identity, and even your childen.

The other side of the problem is that a large segment of the population owns a PC without any knowlege of the dangers. They leave their PCs connected to the Internet and unprotected.

You have joined the population segment that is becoming more aware and searching for the solutions.
